The Role
You will be working from our Campbell Street campus.
The Marketing and Communications team are passionate about promoting vocational pathways as a smart career choice for school leavers and adult learners – and we’re looking for a Communications Officer who can help us share these stories.
A typical day could see you producing an internal staff newsletter, interviewing a TasTAFE student for a written story or video, organising social media posts and researching data to respond to a media enquiry.
Working closely with our Digital Content Creator you’ll coordinate photo and video shoots, and you’ll write content to support a range of events such as awards and graduation ceremonies, media events and marketing campaigns.
What will you bring
A storyteller by nature, you love to create and share good news through a range of channels. You take pride in tailoring content that resonates with specific audiences and enjoy the process of research to ensure accuracy and relevance in all communicated information.
You’ll be a self-driven individual who understands the importance of collaboration to influence a positive outcome.
Above all, you’re a team player, who will ensure all marketing and communication activities are aligned to strategic objectives and adhere to brand guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
You will require a current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
Desirable Requirements
• A relevant formal tertiary qualification.
• Experience in a communications role.
• Ability to undertake intrastate travel.
