The Role

Fixed term from 6 May 2024 to 9 December 2024, working from our Southern Campuses at Campbell Street and Drysdale, the Facilities Officer is a pivotal part of our organisation.    

On any given day, you will:

  • Help coordinate campus/regional maintenance and minor works programs through property inspections.
  • Advise and collaborate with teaching teams and clients to fulfill operational needs efficiently.
  • Assist with obtaining, distributing, and managing furniture and equipment, including arranging repairs when needed.
  • Assist in managing inventory, Test and Tag records, and coordinate testing needs for the Facilities team.

What will you bring

  • You will have relevant qualifications in facilities management and customer service.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of varied maintenance and minor works requirements including procurement procedures as they apply to asset maintenance and including the purchasing and disposal of stores, furniture, and equipment.
  • Ability to coordinate procedures and determine priorities for the maintenance and minor works programs including undertaking associated administrative tasks.
  • Good administrative and organisational skills, and experience in aspects of a financial system in relation to raising orders, matching invoices and achieving budget objectives.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with and coordinate external contractors and maintain good working relationships with customers.


You will require a current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
