The TasTAFE Fixed Term, Sessional and Relief Employment Register lists roles that may become available in various locations statewide for a specified fixed term up to 12 months and on a sessional basis. Please record your details on the register to express your interest.

An existing TasTAFE employee employed under a copied state instrument, or an employee who has been employed at TasTAFE in the past three months, if successful, would be appointed at the relevant classification and salary in the copied state instrument.

A casual loading applies to all casual employment arrangements.

The Role

The Learning Support Tutor supports delivery teams by providing tutoring support to students undertaking vocational education and training programs, on an individual and small group basis through face-to-face, email and online contact.

A Learning Support Tutor is managed, supervised and responsible to the supervisor, however allocation of daily tasks and direction may be provided by a Teacher. The role involves a range of supporting activities to enhance student learning.

Essential Requirements

• Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.

Desirable Requirements

• A relevant vocational qualification, in the area of expertise.
