The Role
The Student Support Manager works closely with the Senior Manager, Student Services to lead a contemporary, high‑quality student support service that strengthens wellbeing, participation and progression for TasTAFE learners.
You will bring your experience across counselling, psychology, social work or a similar field to oversee a multidisciplinary Student Support team, manage resources, and support the development of policy and practice that guide our teachers to deliver best practice support for our students.
A key focus of the role is creating an inclusive environment by identifying and addressing barriers to participation, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement aligned to TasTAFE’s values and strategic priorities.
You will also ensure compliance with WHS obligations, champion positive culture, and contribute to the development of consistent service standards across the state.

This is a full-time, permanent position that has a statewide remit, with a primary base at Hobart or Alanvale.
