The Role
As an Operational Practice & Adoption Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting TasTAFE’s transition to a new Student Management System (SMS). Working within the Change & Adoption stream, you will interpret future-state processes and system requirements and translate them into clear, practical policies, procedures and operational frameworks.
You will work closely with project teams, stakeholders and operational areas to ensure process changes are embedded effectively, supporting consistent practice and long-term adoption across the organisation.
On any given day, you will:
• Analyse existing policies, procedures and operational practices against future-state requirements
• Identify gaps and lead the development of updated policies, procedures and operational guidance
• Design and lead consultation and governance processes to support policy development and endorsement
• Provide specialist advice to support operational readiness and adoption activities
• Partner with project and optimisation teams to translate future-state processes into practical frameworks
• Develop clear, accessible documentation to support staff understanding and consistent service delivery
What you bring:
• Experience analysing and improving operational processes, procedures or frameworks in complex environments
• Ability to translate complex system and process changes into clear, practical operational guidance
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to identify risks and improvement opportunities
• Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and support teams through change
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within project teams
• Excellent written communication skills and experience producing clear, user-focused documentation
This is a fixed-term full-time opportunity through to 31 December 2027, with a statewide focus.
A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
