The Role

Based at our Clarence Campus, the Teacher of Community Services will shape the future of professionals in community services. You will lead essential lessons, assess student progress, and inspire continuous improvement. Dive into a role where innovation, collaboration, and empowerment of students are key, enabling them to make a significant impact in their communities. On any given day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering engaging lessons that ignite passion and drive in future community champions.
  • Ensuring our educational programs meet the highest standards while remaining relevant to industry demands.
  • Empowering students in their transition from campus to community, supporting their path to success.
  • Excelling in administrative tasks, maintaining meticulous records, and fostering enduring relationships with students and stakeholders.
  • Shaping minds, inspiring hearts, and advancing excellence in community services education with each lesson.

What Will You Bring

  • Expertise in teaching and assessment methodologies, skilled at integrating innovative strategies for effective learning outcomes.
  • Current vocational skills and industry knowledge applicable to community services, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), mental health, or Domestic Family Violence (DFV).
  • Leadership in guiding and mentoring colleagues, creating a collaborative learning environment.
  • Adaptability to technological advancements and industry innovations, committed to continuous professional growth.
  • Outstanding communication skills, cultivating strong relationships with students, stakeholders, and external partners.

A current Working with Vulnerable People registration is required, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
