The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll provide high-level analysis and support for TasTAFE’s Timetabling & Scheduling (T&S) Project and core systems, including the Student Management System (SMS). You will engage stakeholders, document and improve business processes, support systems integration, and contribute to testing and change management.

On any given day, you will:

  • Lead complex business analysis and requirements gathering for T&S and SMS projects
  • Research and improve processes in timetabling, scheduling, resource allocation, and delivery planning
  • Configure system rules, calendars, and parameters to achieve efficient and student-centred outcomes
  • Support system integration and interface design across finance, learning, and reporting platforms
  • Assist with test planning and execution, including user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Produce clear documentation and reports to support business change
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff and stakeholders

What you bring:

  • High-level analytical, conceptual, and business analysis skills
  • Experience in complex operational planning environments such as timetabling or scheduling
  • Proven self-management and prioritisation skills in high-pressure environments
  • Strong software implementation experience across the full lifecycle, ideally in VET environments
  • Ability to work collaboratively, supervise or mentor others, and contribute to team success
  • Highly developed verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to consult effectively

Desirable:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience in vocational education and training environments

This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 30 June 2027, based at our Campbell Street Campus.

A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
