The Role
Working from our Alanvale Campus, the Teacher of Foundation Skills will be pivotal in the delivery of foundation skills within a broad range of vocational contexts, to our adult learners.
You will lead essential foundation skill lessons, assess individual learner skill development needs, and monitor learner progress. You will work closely with colleagues to provide targeted learning opportunities to a wide variety of cohorts. Dive into a role where innovation, collaboration, and empowerment of learners are key, enabling them to make a significant impact in their studies.
If you’re experienced in the delivery of foundation skills training and have a desire to work with our learners to develop their skills – we’re looking for you!
On any given day, your duties will include:
What will you bring
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110) or a willingness to work toward it (TasTAFE can support you in obtaining this, free of charge), or
A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training.
A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
