Hours per fortnight - 76 hours
There are multiple positions available from this recruitment process at our campuses statewide.
The Teacher under Supervision role is designed to attract industry competent and current professionals into teaching. It is available as a fixed term appointment for the first year only of an industry professional’s employment with TasTAFE. During the year it is expected that the Teacher under Supervision will attain the essential requirements to be a teacher in TasTAFE as per the Teacher Position Description.
You will be provided on the job training and will be enrolled in the Training and Assessment Qualification (TAE 40116) which you will be required to complete within 12 months. On successful completion of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification, and satisfactory performance within the role, The Manager of Education and Training will approve your employment status be changed from that of a fixed-term employee to a permanent employee.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Plumbing Industry professional to join our dynamic Plumbing, Refrigeration and Water Operations Teaching Team.
We offer a great working environment, generous leave entitlements including sick leave, recreation leave, Superannuation, a seventy six hour fortnight and a family friendly work environment. We provide the opportunity to undertake the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to meet teacher requirements. You will be provided with an experienced mentor to help you settle in and assist you in the development of your teaching skills and practice.
You will bring your industry experience and a keen sense of giving back to your trade and passing on your skills and knowledge to our learners.
A requirement of the role is that you must hold a Tasmanian Plumbing Practitioner or Certifier Licence.
To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate in your resume and short (maximum two-page) statement how you meet the capabilities of the role.
