Hours per fortnight - up to 76 hours
We are looking for an experienced and motivated metals fabrication professional to join our dynamic Metals Teaching Team. The position will be based at our Alanvale Campus. To achieve success in this role, a Certificate III in Engineering - MEM30305 or equivalent metals fabrication qualifications would be highly desirable.
The Teacher under Supervision role is designed to attract industry competent and current professionals into teaching. It is available as a fixed term appointment for the first year only of an industry professional’s employment with TasTAFE. During the year it is expected that the Teacher under Supervision will attain the essential requirements to be a teacher in TasTAFE as per the Teacher Statement of Duties.
You will be provided on the job training and will be enrolled in the Training and Assessment Qualification (TAE 40116) which you will be required to complete within 12 months. On successful completion of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification, and satisfactory performance within the role, The Manager of Education and Training will approve your employment status be changed from that of a fixed-term employee to a permanent employee.
